About the Event

As President and CEO of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a graduate of the Coro New York Fellows Program, and a Coro New York Leadership Center board member, I am proud to host a behind-the-scenes alumni tour of the Navy Yard on July 16.

For more than 150 years, Brooklyn Navy Yard was one of our nation's pre-eminent military facilities. After the Federal government closed it in 1966, the Yard was taken over by the City of New York and re-opened as an industrial park. Today, the Brooklyn Navy Yard is a vibrant industrial complex spread over 300 acres along the Brooklyn waterfront with 40 buildings, three operating dry docks and five active piers.  It has become a national model for sustainable industrial parks and home to a rapidly growing cluster of green manufacturers.

If you can not attend the tour, please consider joining me in supporting Coro New York Leadership Center with a financial contribution by clicking here.

Sincerely,

Andrew H. Kimball
